The Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business in Slough.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking to join a fast-paced production environment, working as part of a highly skilled engineering team responsible for ensuring maximum machinery reliability and minimising downtime across the site.

The successful Maintenance Engineer will initially work on a Days shift for approximately 4–5 months, providing an excellent opportunity to become fully familiar with the site, machinery and engineering processes. Following this initial period, the role will transition onto a Days & Nights shift pattern.

As the Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance, responding to machinery breakdowns, diagnosing faults and ensuring production equipment operates safely and efficiently.

The business continues to invest in its engineering function, providing excellent opportunities for technical development, training and long-term career progression.

Skills Required

The successful Maintenance Engineer will ideally have:

• Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer

• Experience within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment

• Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding skills

• Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance

• Experience responding to machinery breakdowns

• Ability to diagnose and rectify faults efficiently

• A recognised Electrical, Mechanical or Engineering qualification

• Experience working with automated production machinery would be advantageous
