Seven Resourcing is on the lookout for a Legal Assistant to take up an exciting locum position in the vibrant town of Middlesbrough, UK. This full-time role offers an initial 3-month contract starting in December, with a competitive salary of £18.69 per hour via umbrella or £14.82 via PAYE, based on a 37-hour work week. We are seeking an individual to provide vital support as part of our Legal Services Department, contributing towards our strategic objectives through exemplary legal service.

What you will do:
- Provide comprehensive legal support to the Senior Lawyers and other members of the Legal Services Department.
- Undertake all legal work appropriate to the post as directed by the Senior Lawyer.
- Assist with legal matters pertaining to areas such as welfare, landlord and tenant, highways law, and road traffic regulations.
- Draft and review legal documents, ensuring compliance with deadlines and procedures.
- Represent Legal Services in various meetings, courts, and inquiries as necessary.
- Offer assistance in managing cases and correspondence, ensuring timely responses.
- Conduct legal research to support ongoing cases and projects.
- Participate in personal and professional training to enhance legal knowledge and skills.
- Foster strong working relationships with different service areas within the Council to support a business partnership approach.
About You:
We are looking for candidates who are either educated to or studying towards a vocational or educational law qualification, or possess equivalent experience in a legal setting. Your initiative, attention to detail, and collaborative spirit will be essential in this role.
