What you will do

  • Provide expert guidance and support to the Child Protection Team, focusing on safeguarding practices and improving outcomes for children and families.
  • Collaborate with social care, health, police, education, and other partner organisations to ensure effective multi-agency working.
  • Drive high-quality child protection practices, ensuring that all actions are child-centred and family-focused.
  • Contribute to the implementation of the Families First initiative by strengthening safeguarding practices within the community.
  • Offer challenge and oversight to enhance the effectiveness of safeguarding measures.

Requirements

  • Qualification: Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years' post-qualifying experience working with children and families, particularly in child protection and safeguarding.
