Investor Relations Manager - Shanghai

Luxury Hospitality & Private Investment | English & Mandarin-Speaking

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially driven and relationship-focused Investor Relations Manager to support the growth and fundraising ambitions of a prestigious international luxury hospitality group.

Reporting to the Group Head of Investor Relations, you will play a key role in identifying prospective investors, developing high-value relationships and converting opportunities into completed investments. Engaging with ultra-high-net-worth individuals, family offices, private wealth networks and strategic investors, you will combine strong commercial instincts with a discreet, professional and highly personalised approach.

Fluency in both Mandarin and English is essential, as you will engage with Chinese-speaking investors and international stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities in Brief:

  • Identify, engage and develop relationships with prospective investors through established networks, referrals, introducers and targeted outreach.
  • Manage a qualified investor pipeline, progress opportunities towards commitment and deliver against agreed fundraising targets.
  • Present the Group’s investment proposition, business model and growth strategy confidently in both Mandarin and English.
  • Coordinate the investment journey from initial engagement through due diligence, documentation and completion, working closely with Finance, Legal and relevant advisers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective investors through proactive communication, thoughtful follow-up and ongoing stewardship.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, provide reliable pipeline forecasts and collaborate closely with senior leadership and colleagues across the Group.

The Ideal Candidate

  • At least five years’ relevant experience in investor relations, fundraising, private equity, private banking, wealth management or a comparable field.
  • Professional fluency in Mandarin and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • A demonstrable track record of securing high-value investments and progressing opportunities through to completion.
  • An established network of private investors, family offices, wealth advisers or relevant introducers, ideally including Chinese-speaking investor networks.
  • Strong commercial acumen, financial literacy and disciplined pipeline management skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to build credibility with sophisticated international investors.
  • High levels of discretion, integrity and professional judgement, alongside a proactive and collaborative approach.
  • A genuine interest in wine, luxury hospitality and membership-led businesses.

Salary & Package: negotiable and dependent upon experience
