Role Purpose
To lead and enhance strategic partnerships and performance arrangements that deliver improved outcomes for children, young people, and families. You will provide leadership across quality assurance, performance management, evaluation activities, and multi-agency collaboration, ensuring services remain high-performing, evidence-based, and aligned with statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership

Shape and lead the long-term vision and strategic priorities of partnership working across Children’s Services

Promote a culture of innovation, measurable improvement, and professional excellence

Provide expert advice to senior leaders and elected members
Partnership Development

Strengthen relationships with partners across education, health, police, and community sectors

Support governance arrangements and ensure effective strategic decision-making

Champion the voice of children and families within service planning
Performance, Quality Assurance & Evaluation

Lead the performance framework for Children’s Services to drive accountability and improvement

Oversee data insight and reporting for informed decision-making

Monitor statutory compliance and inspection readiness

Ensure services deliver measurable improvements in children’s safety, wellbeing, and achievement

Constructively challenge and support leaders to drive better results
