Temporary HR Assistant

Location: Telford, TF7

Hours: Monday to Friday

Contract: Temporary, initially 8 weeks with the potential to be extended

Salary: £27,000 per annum (pro rata)

The role:
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive HR Assistant to join our client’s team on an initial 8-week contract, with the possibility of extension.

This is a varied role offering the opportunity to provide comprehensive HR transactional support while also delivering diary management and administrative support to the senior leadership team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient HR administration across the employee lifecycle while supporting the day-to-day operational needs of a senior business leader.

Main Duties:

• Processing new starters
• Managing employee references
• Processing Right to Work documentation and ensuring compliance
• Supporting employee induction activities
• Providing recruitment administration and onboarding support
• Monitoring and processing probationary reviews
• Supporting absence management processes and record keeping
• Managing day-to-day HR queries and administration, including:
  • Bank detail changes
  • Job title amendments
  • Payroll-related queries
  • Leaver processing
  • General employee administration

• Providing diary management support
• Coordinating meetings and managing schedules
• Assisting with administrative tasks and correspondence
• Supporting the Director with day-to-day organisational requirements

About you:

• Previous experience in an HR administration or HR assistant role
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
