Project Health & Safety Lead – Data Centre Build
Salary: £75,000 – £85,000 + Package
Location: Buckinghamshire Site‑based (5 days per week)
We are currently seeking an experienced Project Health & Safety Lead to join a leading main contractor delivering a major data centre build.
This is a key leadership role on a high‑profile, technically complex project, offering the opportunity to take full ownership of health & safety standards from pre‑construction through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all Health & Safety activities on site
- Drive a strong safety culture across all site teams and subcontractors
- Ensure full compliance with UK H&S legislation, company policies, and client requirements
- Develop, implement, and monitor H&S plans, RAMS, and method statements
- Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Act as the primary H&S point of contact for the client and senior project team
- Provide advice, guidance, and mentoring to site leadership where required
About You
- Proven experience as a Health & Safety Lead / Manager on large construction projects
- Data centre experience highly beneficial, though not essential
- Strong background working for a main contractor
- Relevant H&S qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent)
- Confident operating in a live, site‑based environment
- Comfortable being on site 5 days per week
- Proactive, professional, and able to influence at all levels
