Health And Safety Manager in Plymouth, South West

Overview
We are recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to support major construction and infrastructure projects within a highly regulated environment.
This role will play a pivotal part in fostering a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and industry standards, and providing expert guidance to project teams and senior stakeholders throughout the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 and health & safety legislation.
- Provide H&S support and guidance to project teams and senior stakeholders.
- Review RAMS, conduct audits, inspections and incident investigations.
- Support contractors and designers in identifying and managing project risks.
- Promote a positive safety culture through training and engagement.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance throughout project delivery.
Essential Experience
- Minimum 10 years' experience in construction, engineering, defence, marine or infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and H&S legislation.
- NEBOSH or equivalent qualification.
- Experience managing audits, incidents, inspections and contractor assurance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
- Nuclear or other highly regulated industry experience.
- IOSH, IIRSM or similar professional membership.
- Defence or major infrastructure project experience.
- Environmental/HSQE knowledge.
