Head of Fitness – “Exciting National Fitness Brand”

Location:             London

Salary:                  £65,000 - £80,000+

Are you looking for that next step in Fitness? My client is looking for a strong Manger who will be responsible for leading the national Fitness strategy, ensuring consistent quality, performance, and commercial success across all clubs. This role drives standards, capability, and culture to position Personal training as a key revenue stream and a central element of member engagement and retention.

Role

• Define and execute the national Fitness strategy aligned with business goals.
• Develop a scalable PT model that delivers consistency with room for local adaptation.
• Evolve Fitness products and programmes to meet changing member needs.
• Act as the national subject matter expert for Fitness.

• Own the Fitness revenue strategy, budgets, and forecasts.
• Drive growth in PT penetration, yield, and retention.
• Analyse performance data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Design initiatives that improve sales conversion and customer lifetime value.

• Set performance targets, KPIs, and governance for Fitness leaders.
• Build a strong talent pipeline with clear career pathways.
• Ensure continuous training, education, and professional development.
• Foster a high‑performance and inclusive Fitness culture.

• Ensure Fitness enhances the member journey and delivers visible results.

• Partner with Operations, People, Marketing, and Sales teams to integrate Fitness into broader club strategies.
• Work with Learning & Development to shape onboarding, training, and CPD pathways.
• Support national initiatives, campaigns, and change programmes.
• Define and monitor Fitness performance KPIs with Data and Finance teams.

Requirements

• Senior leadership experience in Personal Training or fitness operations across multiple sites.
• Proven success in developing and executing a regional or national Fitness strategy.
• Strong commercial and analytical ability with ownership of revenue performance.
• Skilled in people leadership and organisational development.
• Level 3 PT qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience in large‑scale health, fitness, leisure, or hospitality environments.
• Background in managing change or transformation programmes.
