A welcoming and progressive secondary school in Enfield is looking to appoint a Graduate Unqualified Teacher to join their teaching team Immediatley. This role is ideal for graduates who plan to pursue a PGCE, Schools Direct, or salaried teacher training route and want meaningful classroom experience first.
The Role
As a Graduate Unqualified Teacher, you will work under the guidance of experienced teaching staff, supporting learning across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially KS5, depending on subject specialism).
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering lessons using pre-prepared schemes of work and lesson plans.
- Supporting students’ understanding through clear explanation and guided practice.
- Leading small-group and one-to-one interventions to raise attainment.
- Assisting with lesson preparation, marking, and feedback.
- Helping students develop confidence, independence, and strong study habits.
- Building effective behaviour management skills with ongoing mentoring.
- Working collaboratively within your subject department and the wider school team.
This position provides a realistic and supportive introduction to teaching, with structured guidance throughout.
Person Profile
The school welcomes applications from graduates who can demonstrate:
- A degree in Core subjects or a related field (2:1 or above preferred).
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine interest in education.
