This growing and ever improving school and sixth form is on the hunt for a pair of Graduate Teaching Assistant / Academic Tutors – one in maths and one in science.

The school is ideally looking for bright academic graduates with 1^st or 2.1 degrees in core subjects – although related subject areas such as engineering and computer science may be considered.

Person Specification – Graduate Teaching Assistant

• 1^st or 2.1 degrees in Maths or Science preferred – engineering, comp science may be considered
• Matching A levels and GCSEs required
• Must have a passion for their subject area
• Great opportunity for a candidate who is considering training as a teacher soon – teacher training routes available from September 2027
• Must be able and willing to commit for the remainder of this academic year at least

Job Description – Graduate Teaching Assistant

• 2 x vacancies
• Work in the maths and science departments to support the needs of the teaching and SEN teams
• In class, as a teaching assistant
• In 1-2-1 and small groups as subject tutor
• Work with high achieving learners to push them further
• Support borderline learners to promote progress and attainment
• Support struggling or disengaged learners to share your love of the subject
• Earn £540 to £560 per week + additional benefits
• Term time role – Monday to Friday 8.15am to 3.30pm
