What You'll Be Doing
As a Graduate Secondary Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside teachers and school staff to support pupils with their learning, development and overall engagement in school.
Your responsibilities may include:

Supporting teachers with the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons

Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils
-
Helping students develop their knowledge, confidence and independent learning skills
-
Delivering targeted academic interventions where appropriate
-
Supporting pupils who require additional guidance with their learning

Working with students with SEND and helping remove barriers to learning

Encouraging positive behaviour and helping students develop confidence, resilience and independence

Assisting with lesson preparation, classroom organisation and learning resources

Providing additional support to students throughout the school day

Building positive and professional relationships with students and staff

Helping create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment

Supporting the wider school team with pastoral and student support when required

You'll ideally have:

A First Class, 2:1 or 2:2 degree in any subject

The ability to remain calm and professional in a busy school environment

The right to work in the UK on a full-time basis
Previous experience working with children or young people, tutoring or working within a school is beneficial but not essential.
