The Role – Graduate Trainee Maths Teacher
As a Graduate Trainee Maths Teacher, you will train full-time in a mainstream secondary school while earning a salary. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, you will:
- Teach Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4, with progression opportunities.
- Gradually increase teaching responsibility within a structured training framework.
- Receive weekly professional training focused on practical classroom pedagogy.
- Develop strong behaviour management and curriculum delivery skills.
- Work closely with experienced Maths teachers and senior leaders.
- Achieve Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) within one academic year.

Ideal Candidate
- A 2:1 or above in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a closely related subject.
- Alternatively, a 2:1 or above in any discipline with A or A* in A-Level Maths.
- GCSE Maths and English (or recognised equivalency).
- Strong subject knowledge and confidence in Mathematics.
- A genuine commitment to working with young people and improving outcomes.
- Professional, resilient, and motivated to succeed in teaching.
- Right to work in the UK.
