General Manager – Destination Country Pub – Derbyshire - £55,000 + Bonus

A rare opportunity has arisen for an ambitious General Manager to lead a much-loved independent country pub through an exciting new chapter.

Already known for its warm hospitality, locally sourced food and strong community following, the venue is preparing for a major refurbishment that will completely transform the scale and potential of the business.

The Development Will Introduce:

• A significant increase in internal dining covers
• A brand-new outdoor event space
• Ten beautifully designed guest bedrooms
• Greater capacity for weddings, celebrations and private events
• We are looking for a forward-thinking General Manager who can take ownership of the expanded operation, build a brilliant team and turn this impressive venue into one of the region’s leading hospitality destinations.

The Role:

• Lead the business through its refurbishment, reopening and continued growth
• Recruit, train and inspire a high-performing front and back-of-house team
• Develop multiple revenue streams across food, drink, accommodation and events
• Take full ownership of sales, labour, stock control, budgets and profitability
• Build strong relationships with the local community and surrounding businesses
• Deliver exceptional standards while maintaining the warmth and personality of a great country pub
• Create memorable experiences for local guests, destination diners and overnight visitors

About You:

• An experienced General Manager from a quality pub, restaurant, hotel or destination venue
• Commercially astute, with strong P&L and cost-control experience
• Confident managing a busy, multifaceted hospitality operation
• Experienced in building teams and embedding standards during periods of change
• A natural host who enjoys being visible, engaging with guests and driving the atmosphere
• Excited by the opportunity to shape a growing business and take a successful site to the next level
