Pay Rate: £23.98 per hour (PAYE) / £31.54 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract Type: Temporary / Agency
Working Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 08:30–17:00)
Contract Duration: 1st June 2026 – 1st September 2026

Seven Resourcing are recruiting for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join a Community Mental Health Team based within Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated practitioner with strong adult mental health experience to work within a supportive and fast-paced community setting.

The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary Community Mental Health Team, supporting adults with complex mental health needs across the Rhondda area. You will undertake assessments, care planning, safeguarding work, and partnership working to help service users achieve positive and sustainable outcomes within the community.

This position is being recruited to provide cover for a secondment and would suit an experienced social worker who is confident managing complex cases and working collaboratively across health and social care services.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of adults with mental health needs within the community.
• Undertake strengths-based assessments and develop person-centred care plans.
• Carry out safeguarding enquiries and risk assessments where required.
• Work in partnership with health professionals, housing providers, and voluntary agencies.
• Apply relevant legislation including the Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act, and Mental Capacity Act.
• Support service users to maintain independence and wellbeing within the community.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case recordings and reports.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and contribute to collaborative decision-making.

Applicant Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker with current Social Care Wales registration.
• Previous experience within Adult Mental Health or Community Mental Health services.
• Strong working knowledge of relevant adult social care legislation and safeguarding procedures.
• Ability to manage complex caseloads and prioritise effectively.
• Excellent communication and assessment skills.
• Enhanced DBS preferred or willingness to obtain one.
