Pay Rate: £27.98 per hour PAYE / £36.08 per hour Umbrella

Seven Resourcing is recruiting for two experienced Social Workers to join a busy Children’s Social Care service on a temporary basis in Birkenhead. This role is being offered to provide cover during a recruitment process.

We are seeking qualified and experienced Social Workers with a strong background in statutory children’s services, safeguarding, and case management. The role involves working with children and families to ensure safe, effective, and outcome-focused interventions in line with statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of children and families within Children’s Social Care
• Undertake assessments, care planning, and safeguarding interventions
• Carry out home visits and direct work with children and families
• Produce clear, accurate, and timely case recordings and reports
• Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals to safeguard children
• Contribute to child protection, CIN, and court proceedings where required
• Ensure all practice is compliant with statutory guidance and local procedures
• Monitor and review care plans to ensure positive outcomes for children
• Participate in duty systems and respond to urgent safeguarding concerns
• Maintain high standards of professional practice and record keeping

Requirements:

• Social Work qualification (Degree or equivalent)
• Social Work England registration
• Experience within Children’s Social Care (essential)
• Strong safeguarding and assessment experience
• Experience managing complex caseloads
• Excellent communication, report writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively within multi-agency teams
