About You

We are looking for a committed and passionate English Teacher who is dedicated to delivering engaging and effective lessons. You will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have experience teaching English at secondary level
• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
• Be confident delivering engaging and challenging lessons
• Be adaptable and creative in your teaching approach
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be committed to inclusive education and ensuring every student can succeed
• Be passionate about raising attainment and student progress

Strong mainstream teachers at all stages of their career, including ECTs, are encouraged to apply.

The Role

As an English Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students to develop confidence and achieve success in English.

You will deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for Key Stage 5), adapting your teaching to meet a diverse range of abilities.

This role focuses on developing literacy, critical thinking, and a love of learning, supporting students to achieve strong academic outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging English lessons
• Creating a positive and structured classroom environment
• Assessing student progress and implementing targeted interventions
• Differentiating lessons to meet a range of learning needs
• Supporting students in achieving strong academic outcomes
• Contributing to curriculum development and departmental planning
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and wider school staff
