What you will do:
- Support mentors and participants towards employment through personalised coaching and building positive relationships
- Deliver group sessions and individual support to boost confidence and motivation in participants
- Engage in collaborative conversations with participants to identify and address barriers to employment
- Work closely with Employment & Skills Mentors to provide bespoke support and ensure goal achievement
- Maintain detailed records and provide regular progress reports, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection laws
- Identify and assess risks, completing necessary risk management plans in collaboration with the team
Requirements:
This role requires previous experience in community work, ideally in education, employment advice, or social care sectors. You should be skilled in delivering support to individuals facing poverty and barriers to employment. Strong risk assessment abilities, administrative skills, and a background in creating targeted action plans are crucial. Demonstrable comprehension of unemployment's impact and welfare support systems is needed. You must have excellent customer care and IT skills, time management expertise, and a knack for motivating and instilling resilience in others. Adaptability to work occasional evenings and weekends is essential.
