What you will do

• Provide a professional and compassionate service to individuals in police custody.

• Perform forensic sampling as required and ensure all samples are properly managed.

• Assess fitness for detention, release, and interviews, as well as capacity to understand processes and charges.

• Manage and evaluate situations involving alcohol or drug intoxication and withdrawal.

• Provide guidance and support to custody officers in identifying healthcare needs and prioritising care.

• Deliver forensic services in accordance with the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984.

• Maintain accurate and contemporaneous records, ensuring all activities are logged using relevant systems.

• Collaborate with team members and external partners to ensure high-quality service delivery.

• Actively contribute to data collection for audits and service improvements.

• Share innovative ideas and solutions to continuously enhance service delivery.
