Our Client has a requirement for a Planner/Buyer, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Lisburn, Northern Ireland.
Role Purpose:
- Responsible for planning, organizing, scheduling and purchasing a portfolio of parts from a group of vendors.
- Ensuring consistency of supply while effectively managing inventory levels.
- Working within the Materials Department in accordance with established procedures.
Job Role Responsibilities:
- Perform and manage the procurement of both direct and indirect material via the SAP ERP system.
- Procure and/or schedule an inbound supply chain to align with SAP requirements and plant inventory targets.
- Ensure purchasing documents (POs) are processed accurately and submitted on-time, maintaining correct costs and data entry from submission to invoicing.
- Maintain and manage replenishment, call off, and supplier managed inventory processes.
- Administer non-conforming supplier stock and replacements in conjunction with SQE management.
- Work with Sourcing to deliver deflation and identify opportunities for cost reduction/avoidance.
- Communicate issues impacting the manufacturing process and elevate concerns as necessary.
- Assist in maintaining accurate physical vs. perpetual inventory records, safety stocks, and supplier forecasts.
- Manage component change and the introduction of new parts through the planning process.
- Monitor and report key performance metrics including supplier on-time delivery and order execution.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
- Proven Supply Chain Planning experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain concepts and application.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- SAP system experience.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently under pressure and react to changing priorities.
- Ability to collaborate across various functions and levels.
