Project Manager in Birmingham, West Midlands

Deliver complex rail infrastructure projects with real national impact.

Our Client has a requirement for a Project Manager, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Birmingham.

Role Purpose:

• Plan and integrate projects to deliver target costs, dependencies, risk management and project benefits
• Manage project delivery within a complex, multi-stakeholder rail infrastructure environment

Job Role Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage integrated project workstreams, balancing cost, time, quality and risk
• Identify problems and review related information to support the development, evaluation and implementation of solutions
• Gather, synthesise and analyse information to support effective decision-making and option evaluation
• Assess data to support the development of strategies and document supporting rationales
• Influence and negotiate with internal functions and external supply-chain partners
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers to resolve emergent risk situations

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

• Aligned to APM Project Manager
• Strong problem-solving capability
• Effective decision-making and analytical skills
• Proven influencing and negotiating skills
• Strong stakeholder and relationship management capability
• Knowledge of NEC3 contracts – essential
