What you will do:
- Perform a wide array of MRI examinations, maintaining a high diagnostic standard and adapting techniques to meet specific clinical requirements.
- Evaluate and justify MRI referrals following IR(ME)R regulations, Trust policies, and national radiology guidelines.
- Conduct comprehensive MRI safety screenings for all patients, identifying contraindications and managing associated risks.
- Administer intravenous contrast agents, if you are appropriately trained and authorised, ensuring consistent monitoring of patients during examinations.
Person Specification:
Qualifications:
- BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Postgraduate training or substantial expertise in MRI practice.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development (CPD).
- IV Cannulation certification is desirable.
Registration & Compliance:
- HCPC Registered Radiographer.
- Solid understanding of IR(ME)R 2017 regulations.
- Knowledge of MHRA MRI Safety Guidelines.
- Familiarity with NHS Clinical Governance frameworks, Health and Safety legislation, Equality Act 2010, and Information Governance requirements.
