What you will do:

Perform a wide array of MRI examinations, maintaining a high diagnostic standard and adapting techniques to meet specific clinical requirements.
Evaluate and justify MRI referrals following IR(ME)R regulations, Trust policies, and national radiology guidelines.
Conduct comprehensive MRI safety screenings for all patients, identifying contraindications and managing associated risks.
Administer intravenous contrast agents, if you are appropriately trained and authorised, ensuring consistent monitoring of patients during examinations.

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent recognised qualification.
Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Postgraduate training or substantial expertise in MRI practice.
Evidence of ongoing professional development (CPD).
IV Cannulation certification is desirable.

Registration & Compliance:

HCPC Registered Radiographer.
Solid understanding of IR(ME)R 2017 regulations.
Knowledge of MHRA MRI Safety Guidelines.
Familiarity with NHS Clinical Governance frameworks, Health and Safety legislation, Equality Act 2010, and Information Governance requirements.
