What you will do:

  • Undertake crisis assessments and risk assessments of children and young people experiencing acute mental health challenges.
  • Provide telephone-based mental health triage and support, ensuring that all young people receive the care they need promptly.
  • Manage safeguarding concerns and handle clinical risk effectively, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
  • Signpost and refer patients to CAMHS and partner services, coordinating care across various providers.
  • Liaise with families, professionals, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and care records, contributing to cohesive care plans.

Requirements:

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with current professional registration.
  • Previous experience in CAMHS and crisis service settings is essential.
  • Strong skills in assessment, risk management, and clinical decision-making.
  • Ability to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team, bringing your skills and expertise to support mental health interventions.
