Band 6/7 Biomedical Scientist – Blood Sciences Team

Location: Worthing
Salary: £26–£31 per hour

Exciting locum opportunity for a Band 6/7 Biomedical Scientist within the Blood Sciences Team in Worthing. This role provides the chance to gain valuable experience across multiple sites, with night and weekend shifts available once trained.

What You Will Do

Perform cutting-edge laboratory tests in Blood Sciences using Roche/Abbott automation.
Analyse special chemistry specimens, including toxicology, mass spectrometry, HPLC, and electrophoresis.
Work in haematology and blood transfusion sectors using analysers such as Abbott, Sysmex, Stago, Werfen, and Ortho Vision.
Manage data and quality control via Winpath IT and Qpulse systems.
Assist in training and mentoring junior staff, utilising your experience as a Training Officer.

Requirements

HCPC registration is mandatory.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a relevant specialism.
Driving licence preferred for travel across multiple sites.
