What you will do:
- Provide specialist neuropsychological and psychological assessments for neurology patients using complex psychological data, including neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, and structured interviews.
- Formulate and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients with neuropsychological and mental health issues, utilizing effective frameworks and techniques across various care settings.
- Deliver a range of psychological interventions for individuals, carers, families, and groups, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care.
- Analyse and decide on the best treatment options, considering various theoretical and therapeutic models alongside the individual and family history.
- Take responsibility for the assessment, treatment, and discharge process of clients, ensuring effective care through standard psychological care plans.
- Provide expert psychological advice and consultation to other professionals, contributing to the development of patient formulation, diagnosis, and treatment plans.
- Facilitate access to psychological care frameworks for healthcare professionals, ensuring a well-rounded approach to patient management.
- Conduct risk assessments and offer guidance on risk management, especially concerning deliberate self-harm cases.
- Communicate assessment, formulation, and treatment plans effectively to monitor patient progress.
- Offer advice and support to enhance the delivery of psychological care by relevant professionals.
Requirements of the Psychologist:
- Registration and accreditation with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) as a Registered Member MBACP (Accred) or Registered Member MBACP (Snr Accred).
- HCPC registration as a psychologist.
- Recent and relevant experience working as a psychologist in the UK.
- Experience in Neuropsychology, CAMHS, Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic settings is a plus.
