What you will do:

• Assess and treat patients within acute stroke services.
• Deliver Occupational Therapy interventions within HASU, ASU and Stroke Rehabilitation pathways.
• Complete functional assessments and treatment planning.
• Support discharge planning and rehabilitation goals.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary stroke teams.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and reports.
• Facilitate recovery and independence following stroke.
• Support patient-centred rehabilitation programmes.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
• HCPC registration.
• HASU experience, ASU experience or Stroke Rehabilitation experience.
• Acute Therapies experience.
• NHS experience.
• Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills.
• Ability to manage a specialist stroke caseload.

Desirable Requirements:

• Acute Stroke Unit experience.
• Hyper Acute Stroke Unit experience.
• Neurorehabilitation experience.
