What you will do

• Undertake specialist Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions for adults with complex neurological conditions.
• Manage an independent caseload within an inpatient neurological rehabilitation setting.
• Evaluate patient progress and adapt treatment programmes accordingly.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, reviews, and rehabilitation planning.
• Complete risk assessments relating to moving and handling of complex patients.
• Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to audits and service development.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy students and Rehabilitation Assistants where required.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
• HCPC Registration.
• Demonstrable neurology experience.
• Experience using outcome measures.
• Ability to assess and treat progressive and non-progressive neurological conditions.
• Strong caseload management and prioritisation skills.
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Sound IT skills.

Desirable Requirements

• BAOT Membership.
• Relevant postgraduate training.
• Clinical supervision experience.
• Community Occupational Therapy experience.
• Experience fabricating thermoplastic upper limb orthoses.
