We are seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a dedicated Mental Health Team in Bury St Edmunds. This ongoing locum opportunity offers £26.00 per hour and flexible full-time or part-time working options. What you will do

  • Carry out comprehensive assessments for individuals with a range of mental health needs.
  • Develop and deliver person-centred treatment plans in partnership with service users and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Complete risk assessments and implement effective risk management strategies.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, support, education, and guidance to service users and their families.
  • Use clinical assessment tools and outcome measures to monitor progress and inform treatment.
  • Ensure all interventions align with local and national guidance, including NICE recommendations.
  • Contribute to care planning and maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records in accordance with legal, ethical, and professional standards, including the Mental Health Act.
  • Identify safeguarding concerns and take appropriate action to protect vulnerable individuals.
  • Travel independently across different locations to deliver community-based services where required.

Requirements

  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience working within mental health services at Band 6 level or equivalent.
  • Full UK driving licence and the ability to travel independently.
