About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Acute Inpatients Team in Camberwell. This ongoing locum role involves working within female acute inpatient mental health wards, supporting individuals with complex mental health needs through evidence-based, recovery-focused occupational therapy interventions.

What you will do

  • Manage a caseload of female service users with complex mental health needs, using evidence-based and person-centred approaches.

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate group and individual occupational therapy interventions.

  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and occupational therapy colleagues to support recovery-focused care.

  • Provide leadership and development support to staff, students, and volunteers through supervision and appraisal processes.

  • Build and maintain strong links with community services and partner agencies to support early reintegration planning.

  • Promote vocational, employment, and meaningful activity pathways as key components of recovery and social inclusion.


Requirements

  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.

  • Valid driving licence.

  • Experience working in mental health settings, ideally within acute or inpatient services.
