Join us as a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist specialising in Haematology & Transfusion based in the picturesque region of Dorset, UK. In this full-time locum position, you could earn up to £26 per hour depending on your experience, with an ongoing contract and plenty of exciting opportunities to enhance your career. This is your chance to bring your expertise to our Haematology & Transfusion team, where you will receive induction and training to thrive in either long day shifts (08:00 to 20:30) or night shifts (20:15 to 08:15).

What you will do:

• Perform a wide range of laboratory tests in Haematology & Transfusion to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
• Ensure quality control and accuracy of test results in accordance with laboratory protocols.
• Participate in the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient workflow.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff and trainees.
• Maintain meticulous records and documentation as required by regulatory standards.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• HCPC registration is essential.
• Ideally hold a valid driver’s licence for ease of commute.
• Experience within Haematology & Transfusion.
• Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and deliver high-quality patient care in a busy laboratory setting.
