What you will do:
- Independently manage a complex caseload by conducting advanced occupational therapy assessments and creating tailored rehabilitation plans.
- Utilise your clinical reasoning skills to develop, implement, and evaluate individualised treatment programmes that maximise patient independence and functional outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team, playing a key role in discharge planning and ensuring safe and effective transitions of care.
- Provide specialist advice and education to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals regarding functional ability, equipment, and rehabilitation.
Person Specification
Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
- Evidence of continued professional development (CPD)
Experience:
- Post-qualification experience within an acute hospital or rehabilitation setting
- Experience managing a varied caseload with complex conditions
- Experience of supervising junior staff or students
- Involvement in audit, service improvement, or pathway development initiatives
