What You Will Do

• Provide High-Quality Nursing Care: Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals undergoing endoscopic procedures.

• Collaborative Care: Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care for patients from pre-procedure assessment to recovery and discharge.

• Patient Assessments: Perform comprehensive assessments, ensure informed consent is obtained, and prepare patients for endoscopy procedures.

• Monitor and Support: Provide monitoring and support to patients during procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.

• Infection Control: Adhere to strict infection control protocols and assist in the reprocessing of endoscopic instruments to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.

• Medication Administration and Documentation: Administer medications as prescribed and document patient care accurately in line with hospital policies and procedures.

• Clinical Audits: Participate in clinical audits and contribute to continuous improvements in healthcare services.

• Patient Education: Effectively communicate with patients to provide reassurance, explain procedures, and educate them about the recovery process.

Essential Requirements

• NMC Registered Nurse (Adult Nursing).

• Experience working within an Endoscopy team or a related healthcare setting (preferable).

• Strong commitment to high-quality patient care and clinical excellence.

• Ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary team.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain procedures and provide reassurance to patients.

• Knowledge of infection control standards and the ability to adhere to these guidelines.
