Advanced Practitioner – Children's Social Worker
Location: East Lindsey, Lincolnshire
Pay Rate: £29.51 per hour (PAYE) | £40.00 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract: Temporary – 26 weeks
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Seven Resourcing are recruiting for an experienced Advanced Practitioner – Children's Social Worker to join a well-established safeguarding team in East Lindsey. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a senior frontline role, working with children and families to deliver high-quality statutory social work and achieve positive outcomes.
The successful candidate will bring strong safeguarding expertise, excellent assessment skills, and the confidence to manage complex cases while supporting best practice across the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of complex Child in Need, Child Protection and Children in Care cases.
- Complete Child and Family Assessments and Section 47 enquiries in line with statutory guidance.
- Lead safeguarding interventions, ensuring children remain at the centre of all decision making.
- Assess and manage risk using evidence-based practice, including the Signs of Safety approach.
- Produce high-quality assessments, care plans, reports and court documentation.
- Build effective relationships with children, families and partner agencies.
- Chair and contribute to multi-agency meetings, ensuring coordinated support plans.
- Maintain accurate, timely case recordings and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Support less experienced colleagues by sharing knowledge and promoting best practice where appropriate.
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
- Significant post-qualification experience within Children's Services.
- Proven experience managing Child Protection, Child in Need and Children in Care cases.
- Experience completing Section 47 enquiries and Child and Family Assessments.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance.
- Excellent assessment, analytical and report-writing skills, including court reports.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and make confident, evidence-based decisions.
- Experience working within a multi-agency environment.
- Knowledge of Signs of Safety is desirable.
