What you will do:
- Oversee and provide professional supervision and guidance to a small team of social care staff, ensuring high standards of practice are met.
- Maintain a complex caseload, demonstrating expert practice in managing higher levels of risk and safeguarding individuals' welfare.
- Collaborate with senior colleagues and team managers to support Medway residents, promoting early interventions that focus on person-centred, strength-based assessments.
- Implement the quality assurance framework and engage in audit activities to ensure service improvements are actioned.
- Liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders, promoting the One Medway Council Plan and adhering to council values.
- Drive service and staff development by identifying improvement areas, implementing action plans, and supporting social work students and apprentices.
- Deliver top-notch, holistic person-centred care and support, considering the needs of entire families where applicable.
- Represent the local authority in key meetings, panels, and groups, following up on actions to secure person-centred outcomes.
- Stay updated on legislative changes and ensure team compliance with safeguarding policies and practices.
