A forward-thinking and supportive secondary school in Coventry is looking for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from October 2025 through to July 2026. This is an ideal opportunity to gain valuable, hands-on classroom experience while supporting students across the core curriculum.

Your Role – Graduate Secondary Teaching Assistant

In this role, you will:

Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons, particularly in Maths, English, and Science
Provide one-to-one and small group support to help pupils progress academically and boost their confidence
Assist with lesson preparation, behaviour management, and day-to-day classroom organisation
Offer tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Help to create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Build essential experience for future teacher training or further study in education

Who We’re Looking For

This opportunity is ideal for graduates who:

Hold (or are predicted) a 2:1 degree or above in a core subject, such as Maths, English, or Science
Are passionate about education and enthusiastic about supporting young people
Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
Are proactive, reliable, and committed to their professional development
Can commit to full-time work from October 2025 to July 2026
Have some experience working with young people (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, coaching), although this is not essential
