The Role: Maintenance Technician

We are working with a forward-thinking accommodation brand to find them a Maintenance Technician that can grow with the business. Based in the heart of Edinburgh they take great pride in delivering delightful environments for their guests to stay.

All about you

You will already have experience of working in Maintenance, ideally within a hospitality setting. You will have a growth mindset and be natural collaborator, working with operations team to ensure sites are compliant, safe, running smoothly and kept looking sharp. This is a hands-on role with genuine room for career progression as the portfolio continues to expand.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day repairs and maintenance across apartments and facilities.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks including decorating, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Respond quickly to guest requests, ensuring a high level of service and comfort.
• Identify and resolve maintenance issues proactively, keeping standards consistently high.
• Support Fire, Health & Safety compliance through regular checks and accurate record-keeping.
• Use in-house systems (e.g., Logit) to schedule and document maintenance tasks.
• Train and support staff in reporting maintenance issues.
• Work across our branch offices within a 10-mile radius, when required.

Experience

• Previous experience in a maintenance role (hospitality experience preferred).
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
• Great communication skills and a guest-focused attitude.
• Knowledge of Fire, Health & Safety regulations.
• Flexibility and reliability to adapt to the needs of the hostel.
