What You’ll Be Doing

As a Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll be supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and thrive in the classroom.

Your role will involve:

Supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional needs
Using your psychological insight to help shape inclusive learning strategies
Assisting class teachers in adapting lessons to suit different learning styles
Supporting behaviour management, emotional regulation, and social development
Tracking pupil progress and contributing to targeted intervention planning alongside the SENCo and pastoral team

Who We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from you if you:

Hold (or are predicted) a 2:1 or higher in Psychology (or a related subject)
Have some experience working with children or young people (e.g. in schools, youth work, care, or volunteering)
Are calm, empathetic, and confident when working with pupils who have additional needs
Want to apply your academic knowledge in a practical, school-based environment
Are considering future pathways into educational psychology, therapy, SEN teaching, or mental health services
