A supportive and forward-thinking primary school in Leamington Spa is seeking a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant to work within Upper Key Stage 2 from September 2025 to July 2026. This role offers an ideal opportunity to gain meaningful experience ahead of teacher training, educational psychology pathways, or a future in SEND support.

About the Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, your work will be varied and rewarding. You will:

• Provide support across Upper KS2, where academic expectations are high and pupils are preparing for their transition to secondary school

• Work 1:1, with small groups, and offer general classroom support, helping to raise attainment in English and maths

• Assist the class teacher in managing classroom behaviour, organisation, and lesson preparation

• Support pupils with a range of needs, including those with SEN, using a patient and empathetic approach

• Take part in dinner duty as part of your wider responsibilities within the school

• Be a proactive presence in the classroom, looking for ways to support both teaching and learning

• Contribute to a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive

Who We’re Looking For

• A recent or upcoming graduate (minimum 2:1) – Education, Psychology, English, or Maths graduates are especially encouraged

• A strong, proactive individual with an empathetic and adaptable approach to supporting children

• Someone with excellent English and maths skills – this is essential, as you'll be helping pupils meet the high academic demands of upper KS2

• A team player who’s happy to get involved with the full life of the school, including dinner duties and classroom setup

• No formal experience is required – training and ongoing support will be provided
