Procurement & Contracts Specialist in Glasgow

Our client has a requirement for a Procurement & Contracts Specialist (NEC4), who will be required to work on a contract basis in Glasgow.
Role Purpose:
To take a lead role in developing and authoring NEC4 contract scope documentation, coordinating inputs across multiple disciplines, and ensuring alignment with programme objectives and defence governance frameworks. The role will support procurement activities from identification of need through to contract award.
Job Role Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and collate NEC4 contract scope inputs from project specialists.
- Author and review NEC4 contract scope documentation.
- Review supplier proposals against issued scope documentation.
- Chair and facilitate meetings to support scope development.
- Capture and implement lessons learned from previous procurement events.
- Manage stakeholder engagement across Programme and supply chain.
- Ensure requirements are aligned with programme objectives.
- Maintain compliance with defence governance and procurement frameworks.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
Essential:
- 5+ years’ experience in contract management, procurement, or project management.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with NEC4 contracts and scope packages.
- Proven ability to manage and align inputs across engineering, commercial, and project controls.
- Experience in requirements coordination and procurement strategies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organised with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience working within defence governance and assurance frameworks
Desirable:
- Experience in a nuclear or other regulated industry.
- Familiarity with CEMAR contract management software.
- Exposure to programme development and planning in regulated or defence environments.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary interfaces across technical and commercial domains.
