We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Social Worker to join the MASH Team in Wandsworth. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, responsive social work services within the MASH Team.

  • Lead statutory cases including child protection and care proceedings.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, planning, implementation, and review (APIR) processes.

  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to safeguard children and support families.

  • Serve as a champion for best outcomes, ensuring children and families receive the highest standards of care.

  • Coordinate support for children with complex needs, and intervene where necessary to protect well-being.


Person Specification

Qualifications & Registration:

  • Relevant social work qualification.

  • Current registration with Social Work England.

  • Completion of ASYE Year (for newly qualified applicants).

Experience & Skills:

  • Proven experience across voluntary and statutory social work settings.

  • Strong communication skills and confidence in APIR processes.

  • Knowledge of legislation and guidance relating to child protection and safeguarding.

  • Understanding of the needs of children and young people, including complex emotional and behavioural issues.
