A warm and inclusive primary school in Leamington Spa is seeking a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.

This full-time role is the perfect foundation for aspiring primary teachers, offering hands-on classroom experience across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. As a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant, you’ll be working alongside experienced educators, supporting children’s learning, confidence, and well-being in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support teachers with engaging lessons across subjects including English, Maths, and Phonics
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to help pupils thrive academically and socially
• Assist with classroom organisation, routines, and daily activities
• Support pupils with additional needs, including EAL (English as an Additional Language)
• Encourage positive behaviour, resilience, and social development
• Contribute to extracurricular activities such as clubs, trips, and whole-school events

Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant – Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for enthusiastic graduates who can bring energy, patience, and commitment to the classroom. You’ll ideally have:

• A minimum 2:1 degree in any subject (Education, Psychology, English or related fields advantageous)
• Experience working with children or young people (schools, tutoring, mentoring, youth work, summer camps, Scouts/Guides etc.)
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ambition to progress into teacher training in the near future
