What you will do:
- Serve as an Early Help Practitioner to deliver timely assessments, advice, and signposting to community services and schools.
- Coordinate and implement evidence-based targeted interventions in collaboration with other clinicians.
- Ensure children and young people receive timely assessments and appropriate interventions.
- Support the delivery of evidence-based programmes for those with mental health issues.
- Represent CAMHS in multi-agency meetings to address the mental health components of a child’s multi-agency plan.
- Function as part of the locality-facing CAMHS Early Help pathway, implementing team decisions.
- Oversee the effectiveness of planned interventions using Routine Outcome Monitoring (ROMS).
- Participate in delivering training programmes for schools and community services from the CAMHS training portfolio.
- Ensure the highest standards of care within available resources.
- Liaise effectively with other CAMHS community teams and develop relationships with both statutory and non-statutory providers.
- Maintain confidentiality in respect of young people at all times.
- Communicate clearly with children, young people, families, and health professionals about health issues.
- Engage in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives, including clinical audits and policy development.
- Encourage children and young people to engage in person-centred planning and decision-making.
- Contribute to an advice line, offering support, signposting, and resources.
Requirements:
- You must have a degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing with relevant experience, and be registered with the NMC.
