What you will do:
- Chair Child Protection Conferences and Child in Care reviews as an Independent Reviewing Officer, ensuring these meetings are organised in a child-friendly way.
- Oversee the development and implementation of care plans to ensure all statutory and individual needs of children are met effectively.
- Visit children to act as a first point of contact and advocate for their interests, ensuring their voices are heard and prioritized.
- Manage relationships with children, families, local authorities, and Cafcass, ensuring that all parties are fulfilling their roles and statutory obligations.
- Provide guidance and support to social workers, families, placement providers, and other partners, using your expertise to drive positive outcomes.
- Escalate issues and concerns with senior managers through formal processes to ensure resolution and continuous improvement of services.
