What you will do:
- Carry out comprehensive in-house technical surveying and inspections relating to repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment, including responsive and planned repairs, empty homes reinstatement, disrepair, damp, and capital investment.
- Ensure housing stock and public buildings are maintained in a reasonable state of repair through property inspections and specifying efficient remedial works and investment.
- Support Assets, Repairs and Neighbourhoods teams, offering specialist technical advice to enable Bury Council to maintain homes fit for habitation.
- Undertake pre-inspection, during works inspection, post-inspection, and quality control checks for various repair works and projects.
- Oversee projects, raising any concerns with the Contract or Repairs Manager, and deputise during periods of absence.
- Collaborate with contractors, organising and coordinating works, ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures.
- Prepare specifications for remedial works on homes and public buildings managed by Bury Council, ensuring adherence to guidelines and regulations.
