We’re looking for a standout Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant who holds:
- 2:1 or higher in Psychology, Education, Childhood Studies or related degree from a top-30 leading University
- Strong academic throughout GCSE’s and A-levels
- Interested in SEN, Inclusion and child development and has the willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Experience working with children or students (formal or informal) is highly desirable
- Committed, proactive, and eager to learn from SEN Professionals
Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant: Job Role
As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant you will work across all year groups, supporting pupils with EHCPs and additional learning needs, your role will include:
- Work closely with the SENCO team and external specialists to implement individualised support plans
- Deliver targeted 1:1 interventions and small group support in literacy, numeracy, and emotional regulation
- Help students access learning in mainstream classrooms – adapting materials, pre-teaching vocabulary, and using sensory tools
- Track and monitor student progress, contributing to termly EHCP reviews and feedback meetings
- Learn to manage challenging behaviours in a supportive, trauma-informed way
