We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join an Acute Care team in Lancaster. This locum role pays £31 per hour, is available for an ASAP start, and provides the flexibility of full-time or part-time hours. You'll be working across varied acute settings including Acute Medicine, Frailty Wards, Orthopaedics, and the Emergency Department, supporting safe patient discharges and enhancing recovery outcomes.

What You Will Do:

• Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and patient-centred interventions.

• Lead complex discharge planning processes to ensure timely and safe transitions of care.

• Provide clinical input across Acute Medicine, Frailty, Orthopaedics, and ED.

• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and care planning discussions.

• Supervise junior therapists and support ongoing service development.

• Maintain accurate documentation in line with HCPC and trust standards.

What We’re Looking For:

• HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an acute or related setting

• Strong knowledge of discharge planning and risk assessment

• Car driver preferred (to support flexibility across hospital sites)
