Overview: Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
- Position: Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
- Location: Enfield, North London
- Start Date: September 2025
- Contract Type: Full-time, term-time only
- Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
- Contract Length: Until July 2026 (initially)
- Pay: Up to £540 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)
Key Duties: Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small intervention groups
- Assist the class teacher and SENCO in delivering targeted support strategies
- Adapt learning materials to suit individual learning styles and needs
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
What You’ll Need to Succeed: Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
- A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related subject (2:1 or above preferred)
- A keen interest in working with children who have additional learning or behavioural needs
- Previous experience supporting young people (e.g., mentoring, volunteering, tutoring) is desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach
- A strong work ethic, patience, and a team-player mentality
