The Opportunity

Are you a recent graduate with a passion for education and supporting young people’s learning? An Outstanding secondary school in Coventry is looking for a Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join their high-performing team from September 2025.

This full-time, term-time only role is perfect for graduates considering a future in teaching. You will work closely with students and staff to help raise attainment and provide vital academic and pastoral support in a dynamic school environment.

Graduate Learning Support Assistant – Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with varying academic needs
• Work alongside teachers to adapt lesson content and classroom activities
• Assist with planning and delivering targeted interventions across a range of subjects
• Promote inclusion and positive behaviour in and out of the classroom
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to staff
• Support students with SEND or additional learning needs

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a passionate and committed Graduate Learning Support Assistantwho meets the following criteria:

• Minimum 2:1 degree in any subject (English, Psychology, Science, Maths, or Humanities preferred)
• Strong academic background and excellent communication skills
• A genuine interest in education and supporting young learners
• Previous experience working with young people (e.g., mentoring, tutoring, youth work) – desirable
• Energetic, proactive, and keen to learn within a school environment
• Ambition to pursue a career in teaching or education
