The Role:
As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional challenges.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual learning needs

Assisting with the adaptation of lesson materials and supporting differentiated learning

Helping to manage classroom behaviour positively

Encouraging the development of communication, confidence, and independence

Monitoring progress and feeding back to the SENCo and teaching staff
This is an ideal role for anyone looking to gain practical experience before pursuing teacher training, educational psychology, or therapy-based roles.
Who We’re Looking For:

A recent or soon-to-be 2025 graduate with a 2:1 or higher in Psychology, Education, or a related subject

Some experience working with children or young people with SEN (through education, care, outreach, or volunteering)

A calm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting individual learning needs
