Are you a recent graduate with a 1st or 2:1 degree and a passion for education? Are you considering a career in teaching and looking to gain invaluable classroom experience?
A friendly and supportive primary school in Stanstead Abbotts, Ware is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time, term-time only position, ideal for a graduate who is enthusiastic, committed, and eager to make a difference in young learners' lives.
About the Role:
- Supporting teachers across KS1 and KS2 with classroom activities and pupil learning
- Providing one-to-one or small group support for children who may need additional help
- Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom management
- Helping to run swimming lessons – you must be a strong swimmer, as supporting pupils during their swim sessions is an essential part of this role
- Gaining valuable insight and experience in the day-to-day life of a primary school
Requirements:
- A degree at 1st or 2:1 level in any subject
- A strong swimmer and confident supporting pupils in the water
- A passion for working with children and a desire to pursue a career in teaching
- A proactive, positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Previous experience working with children (voluntary or paid) is a plus but not essential
Perfect for:
